Where Magic meets Compassion

Bridgette the Strange, also known as the Strange Witch, combines magic, tarot, and politics to create a holistic, mindful practice for manifesting an equitable world.

Witchcraft is Political.

And it always has been. Why does it matter now, though? With the rise of authoritarianism, we have to understand that every aspect of our personal lives is up for political debate. As a person with privilege, I wield it to raise the voices of the persecuted.

Knowledge is Power

To better serve our communities, we have to know them. The internet and I have put together a list of recommended reading to expand our understanding of our neighbors. I call it the “Witchcraft is Political Reading List”.

I don’t want to be where the people are…

Testimonials

  • “I was at the January beginners workshop and really liked it bc it felt a lot more roundtable discussion and it really felt like a true beginners introduction. I'm a little shy at these kind of events but you've made it feel welcoming! THANK YOU!”

    Tarot Workshop

  • “You have been approachable from the start. You are clearly full of wisdom but you break things down in simplistic ways that makes me want to learn more, instead of running for the hills. I've never felt so in tune with the world around me and I'm starting to see magic everywhere. Thank you for that. I've had one class, two readings, and been to one private event with you and everyone left the experience uplifted and renewed.”

    — Amazing, adorable Client of many offerings

  • “It's been great working with you! I like how you get us thinking on our own and guide us to the ideas rather than just lecturing. I've been to your tea workshop and 2 beginner tarots, and I hope to attend many more of your events.”
