Strange World

For about four months, I’ve been lost on where to take this blog.

Lacking any particular reason to write other than when it suits my fancy… I put it aside, waiting for the muses to find me. At last, I ruminated long enough.

I have landed on five series I would like to introduce! While I do not plan to commit to a writing schedule, I at least have topics I know I want to cover. And little names for them that may or may not stick.

1. ACT American critical thinking

Witchcraft is political.

This is not a statement that I shy away from. It is an essential part of who I am and my craft. Those who want to keep politics out of certain aspects of their lives have the privilege to do so, and there is no room for that here.

This series will focus on what is going on in America. From current events and words I want to raise awareness of, to things I learn as a participant in the resistance movement building in this country.

We vote with our dollar. Therefore, I have been actively boycotting (and buycotting [purposefully shipping with companies whose values align more closely with your own]) for over a decade. It’s time to stop buying from terrible companies run by horrific people. So this series will also cover boy and buycotts.

2. DOT dawn of tomorrow

It is not all doom and gloom.

There are things we can do to make the world a better place. This series will highlight actions we can take. I believe providing facts about what is happening is essential, I also feel that it must be balanced out with hope.

I’ll post about actionable items of resistance anyone can do, protests to attend, and other ways to be an active member of the Resistance to the best of my knowledge.

I am looking to also highlight organizations (or people) that deserve attention in the work that they are doing to fight. Please reach out to me if you know of any that you’d like to see more attention on.

3. TOT tarot & occult topics

Making the esoteric… exoteric

Alright, with politics addressed- this can’t be a witch’s blog without some talk of magic. And the most important magic maker in my life is Tarot. And, of course, the occult.

I’ll start with the basics and build up from there. Give you the lay of the land then teach you how to be a landscaper.

4. EBM earth based magic

Let’s get Crafty!

My personal practice is what I would call Earth Based (at this time anyway), and I want to share part of my practice with you. Or, talk to others about their practice and write about that. I learn the most by hearing what other people do and either adopting or adapting it for my own purposes if I feel called to do so.

This will open with an exploration of the 4 basic elements, and then I expand it to cover all 7 that I work with.

You can also expect to see talk of Herbalism and whatever else my little strange heart desires.

5. AID Aquarius investigation & discovery

But.. what’s actually good?

Hold back your gasps of shock, but I’m an Aquarius with opinions on things.

Here I’d like to review decks, books, and all sorts of tools of the trade. What works or doesn’t work for me and why.

I’ll also bring in other recommendations in general, as I find I like things that people I like also enjoy.

So, let’s do the damn thing.

My goal of providing these basic structures, for now, is to keep me motivated because my whole goal with this website, blog, and whatever else I’m doing is to feel connected with you.

I believe in my core that we are all here to take care of each other and share our gifts with one another. So, I’m here to play my part in that. And if I get things wrong, to learn so I can continue to grow and be better.

I want to share what I know so that I can inspire you to do the same. As much as I enjoy teaching and explaining things- I love learning more.

Be Strange,

Bridgette xoxo
